The Fairfax County Public School system in Virginia, generally, will err on the side of caution and close the schools if the weather is dangerous for travel. This one particular winter we had a series of two-hour delays because the weather improved after the morning rush hour. But, it was on those full snow days I was able to have enough time to paint —- thus the title of this painting.
