The ALBATROSS has a wingspan of 7 feet and is able to travel the globe in just 46 days. Without flapping its wings it is able to travel 10,000 miles in a single journey, only landing on water to eat/rest. Scientists claim that the albatross uses a flying technique known as dynamic soaring. They gain height by angling their wings while flying into the wind.
